The NBA season is almost here. While the majority of people think the NBA season is already over before it even begins (let’s just go ahead and crown the Golden State Warriors right now, right?). we still have to let the season play out because YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT CAN HAPPEN, RIGHT?
What if the Warriors are involved in some kind of freak accident and everyone gets hurt?
Well, the league just opened up for all 29 other teams to win the whole thing.
Even though I personally believe it would take a plane wreck to take the Warriors down, there are some NBA teams out there that think they have the tools and weapons to do exactly that.
Are the Indiana Pacers one of those teams? Perhaps no other team in the Eastern Conference underwent a makeover like the Pacers just went through this off-season. They traded unhappy All-Star Paul George to the Oklahoma City Thunder and got a bunch of decent pieces in return, but nothing that’s going to turn this franchise around anytime soon. The Pacers are now lacking a true superstar and we all know how NBA teams without superstars do. Not very good. Thankfully for Indiana fans, there is still somethings to potentially get excited for this season. Victor Oladipo is returning to the state where he played his college ball. That has to get some fans excited, right? Myles Turner is still here and he’s one of the best young blossoming players in the league. He should take a step further in his game this season. Outside of those two guys, I’m not exactly sure what Pacers fans have to get excited about this season. I guess it’s a good thing that the Eastern Conference is a pile of dog shit and so it’s likely the Pacers sneak into the playoffs before getting pounded by either the Cavs or the Celtics. Either way, it’s probably going to be a looooooong and unhappy season in Indiana this year. But there is a chance I’m wrong though.
