Three Things I Like About The Bills This Season:

-Sean McDermott: The Rex Ryan era is finally over. Rex is a great defensive coordinator, but the guy is absolutely lost as a head coach and to put it blatantly…..he sucks. Enter new head coach Sean McDermott who comes in with a clean slate and something to prove to the rest of the NFL. McDermott did a good job as the Panthers defensive coordinator, but can he do the impossible and bring the Bills back to NFL relevancy? It definitely has a tough task ahead of him, but he’s the right man for the job at the moment.

-LeSean McCoy: After a mediocre first season in Buffalo, McCoy rebounded huge last season and had a great year. He’s the best player on the Bills offense and McDermott should find ways to get the ball in McCoy’s hands as much as possible. The Bills lack playmakers on offense and McCoy will be the heart and soul of the unit this season.

-Sammy Watkins Will Rebound: Sammy Watkins has been a pretty disappointing player for the Bills since being drafted high a few years back. He was particularly not very good last year, but I’ve been riding the Sammy Watkins HYPE TRAIN since he entered the league and I’m not jumping off it now! Watkins will rebound this year and have a pretty good season. Dare I even say……a Pro Bowl worthy season? Sure, why not?

Three Things I Hate About The Bills This Season:

-They’re The Bills: Look, I don’t want to be mean and kick the Bills’ fans while they are down, but Buffalo has been the definition of “average” since 1999. Think about that for a second. THE BILLS HAVEN’T WON MORE THAN NINE GAMES A SEASON IN ALMOST 20 YEARS!!!! Why should we believe that this group of guys is going to turn it around this season and find a way to make it to the post-season? Please. We all know what’s going to happen with these guys before they even take the field. 8-8? 7-9? 6-10? It’ll be one of those.

-Lack Of Elite Players: The Bills have a lot of great and good players, but they lack an elite player anywhere on their roster. There are numerous teams in the NFL that have multiple elite players on their roster, but Buffalo has none. That’s something that needs to change before these guys have any kinds of post-season aspirations.

-The Schedule: The Bills have a tough road ahead of them. Not only do they have to play New England and Miami (who made the playoffs last year) twice, but they only have one road game that I would consider to be “winnable” on their schedule. Buffalo has to travel to Carolina, Atlanta, Cincinnati, New York (the win), LA Chargers, KC, New England, and Miami. That’s a potential 1-7 slate right there if you ask me. If that wasn’t already bad enough, they have to host Denver, Tampa Bay (who should be pretty good this year), and Oakland as well. There is no way the Bills are making the playoffs this year. I guarantee it.

The Prediction:

7-9
