The Atlanta Hawks are a good team, but they aren’t a great team. Mike Budenholzer is a good coach, but he’s not a great coach. Are you starting to notice a trend with these guys? While I fully expect the Hawks to be in contention for a playoff spot this year, I think they will take a step back this season. The team lost Al Horford in free agency and brought on Dwight Howard. I’m not exactly sure how one should feel about that move, but it looks disgusting on paper. Horford is a team player who’s still a quality NBA player. Dwight Howard is a quality NBA player who has been a “chemistry killer” everywhere he’s played. Will his attitude change now that he’s playing for his hometown Hawks? Can he re-capture that glory he once had when he was playing for the Orlando Magic?
He’s going to ultimately destroy this team from within and Hawks fans will want to get rid of him once they are bounced from the first-round of the playoffs. That’s just what happens with this guy.
